Recording Clerk
The Custer County Clerk's Office is accepting applications for a recording clerk. Qualifications needed are a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants need to know how to operate a typewriter, calculator, and computer along with being physically able to carry large books (approximately 35 pounds), remove same books from shelves, and able to walk up and down stairs. Accuracy, the ability to interact well with the public and being self-motivated are also very essential qualifications for this job. A pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening (at county's expense) is required.

Applications and a detailed list of duties may be picked up in the Clerk's office in the Custer County Courthouse at 205 South 6th Street and must be returned by the close of business on September 12, 2008.
